Outdoor Cinema in Athens

A few weeks ago, I found myself under the night sky at Cine Paris, an open-air rooftop cinema in Athens. I was watching a film I could have seen anywhere: same content, different experience. 

The Acropolis lit up to my left…. Every now and then, I would turn my head and look at her. The scent of jasmine drifted from nearby balconies. Strangers shared a quiet intimacy beneath the stars. It wasn’t the film that moved me; it was how I felt. Something sacred. Something human. My partner and I do this each time we visit Athens, for the shared, felt experience…..it’s not really about the movie. 

It made me think: this is what excellent service does. We often focus on what’s delivered: the product, the solution, the outcome, but what truly lingers is the experience. The energy of someone present, generous, and attuned to others leaves an imprint that no technology can replicate. 

In a world rushing toward AI, automation and efficiency, the question becomes: where are we making space for real human impact?
